Insurance coverage

Collision damage insurance (C.D.W) with a 500 euro excess amount that includes:

• Fire insurance
• Theft insurance
• Material damage by an uninsured vehicle
• Bodily damage to third parties and passengers
• Material losses of third parties

A necessary condition for the insurance to be valid is the presence of the police at the spot of the traffic accident.

Full insurance coverage

If the renter wishes, with an additional cost, they can have Full collision damage waiver (F.C.D.W) with an extra charge of 12 euro, depending on the car category.

What is not covered by any insurance

• Damages caused by a driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Damages caused by an unauthorized driver.
• Damages in the interior of the vehicle.
• Damages caused because the vehicle was illegally parked.
• Damages due to traffic law violation.
• Damages due to inappropriate driving, negligence, or intentional misuse.
• Damages to the engine by wrong fuel or negligence.
• Damages caused because the vehicle was used off-road or on not appropriate roads such as not paved roads, dirt roads or beaches.
• Damages caused after the agreed return time.
• Damage to the mirrors.
• Damages or loss of tires, rims, hubcaps.
• Damages to the underside of the vehicle.
• Damages or loss of the antenna.
• Damages caused willfully or recklessly by the renter, such as burning the clutch, burning the tires, sitting or standing on the bonnet, roof or boot lid of the vehicle.
• If the renter does not notify our company and the police at the time of the accident.
• Loss of personal items.
• Loss, damage or theft of vehicle keys.
• Loss or damage of child seats, jack, safety triangle, spare wheel, petrol cap or any accessories.
• Total or partial theft in cases where the theft was caused due to the renter’s negligence, for example if the engine keys were left on the vehicle.
• Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions resulting from any violation of Greek Traffic Law.

Indicative price list due to damage, loss or negligence

• Vehicle key: simple car key 150 euro, special car key 200-300 euro.
• Baby seat 120 euro, booster seat 80 euro.
• Vehicle battery 120 euro.
• Antenna 60 euro.
• Aluminum rim 150 euro per piece.
• Plastic wheel cover 50 euro per piece.
• Exterior mirror: glass 50 euro, plastic case or mechanism 120 euro.
• Car mats 20 euro per piece.
• Soiled seats or interior 100 euro.
• Window wiper 40 euro.
• Car tyre 100 euro per piece.
• SUV or 4x4 tyre 120 euro per piece.

Additional charges

Extras and service charges

Delivery / Collection (DEL, COL)

Available only after agreement with the customer through the booking details. There is no charge, 24 hours a day, when delivery or collection concerns Georgioupoli and the surrounding areas within a 15 kilometre radius. Depending on the distance, the cost is agreed case by case.

Refueling Service Charge (FC)

Available only after agreement with the office where the reservation was made. The charge is 10 euro. If the vehicle is returned with a lower fuel level than at pick-up, there will be a charge for the missing fuel plus the 10 euro refueling service fee.

Car type changes

The rental company reserves the right, depending on availability, to provide a different car type from the one originally booked, as long as it is of an equivalent or higher category.

Ferrying the car

It is not allowed without calling our company.

Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions

The renter must pay traffic fines, or any administrative sanctions may result from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law. The renter can pay the fines in cash or with a credit card. If any fine becomes required after the rental period, our company will charge the renter’s credit card the amount of the fine. If the police or another authority removes the registration plates during the rental, the renter must compensate our company immediately. The compensation amount will be calculated by multiplying the total number of days that the vehicle will be without registration plates with the per-day rental price from the current season.

Obligations - Other terms

The renter must pay attention to the vehicle by checking its mechanical condition, oil, water and tyres, and by making sure it can move safely. The renter is responsible for damages resulting from lack of attention and must park and lock the vehicle properly in a safe place.

During the rental period, the vehicle must not be used:

• In breach of the rental terms.
• To carry passengers or goods on a fee.
• To carry more passengers than allowed.
• To carry heavy objects, smelly goods or drugs.
• To tow another car or trailer.
• In any kind of races.
• For any purpose that is against the Greek laws.
• Outside of Crete island without written authorization from our company.

Our company is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items. The company has the right to cancel the rental agreement without consequences if the renter is considered harmful to the company’s interests or violates traffic laws or the rental terms.
